My Shanti + Vij’s Restaurants

Ph5 served as the architectural consultant and coordinating registered professional for two distinctive restaurant projects designed by Bricault Design — My Shanti and Vij’s. Each presented its own unique set of challenges and opportunities.

My Shanti was realized as a new, ground-up building, requiring careful integration of the design vision with building code requirements, municipal processes, and the operational needs of a high-end restaurant.

Vij’s involved a complex renovation of an existing structure with numerous non-conforming code conditions. This required an in-depth code analysis and the development of a detailed proposal for building upgrades to bring the facility into compliance while respecting the constraints of the existing structure.

For both projects, our role included rigorous coordination with the consultant team and kitchen designer; preparation of permit and construction drawings; detailed technical documentation; management of development and building permit submissions; and full construction administration services. Throughout, we collaborated closely with Bricault Design to ensure the architectural delivery supported and enhanced the intended dining experience.
